We’re now 10 days into rehearsals for Blue/Orange, Mockingbird’s first show of 2013 and so far it’s looking great. Set in a London psychiatric hospital in early 2000’s, it tells the story of Christopher, a new patient who who claims to be the son of an African dictator and his two psychiatrists. Written by Joe Penhall, it’s a beautifully crafted story about race, “the psychiatric system” and power. British wit is present throughout, however the writing resonates with all. It’ll leave you questioning who’s sane and who’s insane by the end. It features myself and two amazing actors; Richard Edge and Kane Felsinger. Directed by the wonderful Chris Baldock.
